LEADERS UNDERSTAND LEADERS

About Gigantic Concepts

My dad's company, Gigantic Concepts, was something he created to keep his mind busy after retiring from Dow Corning. When he passed away in 2020, I wanted to continue his legacy and keep Gigantic Concepts alive. I repurposed the company so I could continue to make an impact on people and communities. Through my various hats, I've supported organizations and leaders from Detroit to Denmark to Zambia. The hope to do good knows no boundaries! Throughout my career, I've worked to support causes that matter, such as education, health, youth, juvenile justice, and mentoring. My work has expanded well beyond traditional nonprofit consulting. As a Mobility Engagement Officer at the Detroit Regional Partnership, I have spent the last several years doing complex ecosystem work, connecting leaders across economic development, philanthropy, startups, and civic institutions to build something larger than any single organization. Across that work, a pattern has become undeniable: opportunity gets lost not because of bad ideas, but because of a lack of leadership. Organizations stall not because resources disappear, but because leaders get siloed, shrink their thinking, or lose sight of where their work can have real value. I bring those observations directly into my consulting practice. When I sit down with a client, whether they lead an adult literacy organization, a community foundation, or a social enterprise, I am not starting from a playbook. I am starting from experience, curiosity, and the genuine belief that most organizations are capable of far more than they are currently reaching for. The things I've been able to do in my career have given me this rich toolbox. I've started new organizations, developed award-winning fundraising and marketing campaigns, developed a cause marketing campaign on behalf of an automotive company supporting breast cancer, and led organizations through the aftremath of a pandemic and historical financial distress. I'm a big-picture thinker, and I can show you the pathway. I am not an executive coach. I do not have coaching credentials and I will not pretend otherwise. What I am is a former CEO who has navigated many of the same challenges you are navigating now. I can help you think through what's possible, push back when you are limiting yourself, and stay with you through the complexity.
That is thought partnership. And it is what Gigantic Concepts does.
